Hi guys!! Ohmygoodness!! Has it really been ten years?! Holy moly!! Did you know that ever since we started this blog on May 29, 2014, we have never had a blogiversary? Can you believe it? That means that this year on our 10th ANNIVERSARY and what with all the negative that has happened these past few years, we just have to CELEBRATE!!
Wow!! I can’t believe it has been 10 years! I honestly never thought that we would last this long blogging, but here we are!! Despite some mishaps, COVID, my injury, and other family crises, we are still here, and that is worth celebrating!
First, let’s recap some of our favourite blogging moments. I’m going to go back to the beginning years, so anything more recent like the past six months to a year or so, won’t be included in this list.
(I won’t be including the very beginning years where we weren’t a doll blog at all. A lot of those posts have been deleted entirely to save space anyway. Can you even imagine us not being a doll blog? It’s true! At one time, this was simply a crafty blog. We had no idea that dolls even existed!)

BIG PROJECTS

BLOG FEATURES
We’ve had some pretty fun features on the blog in the past. We’ve even hosted Doll Camp and The Dollympics 2016. Fun times. Those were the days. 😊 Here are some of the blog features that we have had on our blog in the past.
FABULOUS FASHION FEATURES – A feature showcasing the unique style of each AG character. I would like to bring this back, but maybe as a sewing feature instead.
THINGS WE LOVE MOST ABOUT – A feature where we introduce and let you get to know each of our dolls better. I would really like to do a new and improved meet the dolls post soon to update all the new dolls who have joined our crew.
THRIFTY THURSDAY – Highlights of the week from shopping at the thrift shop. We had to quit this feature as I got injured and could no longer drive.
MAD ABOUT MINIS – Where the mini dolls get up to mischief, something we want to bring back to the blog as soon as we are better organized
CREATIONS WITH LITTLE MISS – A showcase of crafts done by Little Miss who is not so little anymore, (nearly eighteen!!) so this will probably not be back. 🥲
SEW DOLLY – A feature where we highlight outfits and gift you guys free sewing patterns that we create. More of this to come hopefully as well.
DIY DOLL CRAFTS – This is probably our most common feature since we are quite crafty. I am hoping to do at least one doll craft a week in the future. People have often asked us why we don’t start a YouTube channel, and the simple answer is this is not my day job, but more of a hobby. I can get really busy working and doing life in general, so a channel just wouldn’t be practical. We don’t stick to a posting schedule as it is. Plus most of my crafts are spur of the moment and I don’t really have a plan, just winging it a lot of the time. It isn’t until the craft is done that I can put together a tutorial for you guys. Crafting on video just wouldn’t work for me.

We do try, honestly!! 🤦🏻♀️😅 Life just seems to run us over a lot of the time. We are getting better at posting photoshoots on our Instagram though and I think that is a much better platform for that sort of thing anyway as photos tend to eat up blog space.
What I do in my other free time outside of the blog:
By day, I am a teacher and a mom. In the evenings, I am an author. I am currently working on my sixth novel, the second in my new series. I would like to get this book out there by the end of this year. 🤞🏻I am an active member of the local writer’s club in my town. I am also a gardener, dog mom to two chocolate yorkies, artist, and home decor enthusiast.

I hope to continue this blog well into the future as it is my happy place to be. Life still needs to slow down a bit, but there are things in the works to help us do just that. Once everything falls back into place, I will be posting more regularly. Summer is also coming soon for us, so that means more free time too. Until then, keep crafting and have an AMAZING day!!

Yes, time flies, and yet, as you say, the last ten years have not been easy.

What a terrific celebration! Congratulations to you for ten years, that really is quite an achievement and I’m glad that we get to celebrate along with you. I have really enjoyed all of your projects and am very slowly working to duplicate your Mars Habitat, no simple feat! Thanks again for sharing your talents and fun ideas with us all. All 5 of my granddaughters have now “outgrown” dolls, but I never have so I still am making things for other people’s daughters or granddaughters. It keeps my brain cells active!
