18 INCH DOLL SPRING GARDEN BENCH

Spring is finally here! ā¤

We have been loving the warmer weather, no more snow suits and no more boots! It is also nearly time for spring planting, and we love gardening. This year we will be pulling out our flower garden, and starting over from scratch. The possibilities are endless, so I am very excited. šŸ™‚

Since we love gardening so much, it’s no wonder that I have been dying to make this little garden bench for the dolls. I was over the moon to find the tutorial over at AmericanGirlIdeas.

It turned out so cute! My daughter chose the colour, and I have to say, I just love it.

Here are some pics!

This was before painting. The ladybugs and bumblebees are pushpins that I got from the Dollar Store. I just pulled the pin parts out with pliers. Then I hot glued them all over the bench.

I used a lot of scrap wood that I already had on hand so the measurements aren’t exact, but I think it turned out nice anyway.

Here it is with a coat of bright paint!

The only thing left to do was ACCESSORIZE!!

The little watering can is a Dollar Store jar of bubbles with the top cut off, and yellow craft foam pieces added on. The plant pots are cough syrup medicine cups. I just wrapped them in burlap and filled them with coffee grounds. Then I hot glued some fake flowers in there. Too cute!

These are the little seed packets that I printed from LivingADoll’sLife. I just cut out a front with a back, and used tape to create a little pocket to pour seed beads into. Then I used more tape to close up the tops.

I love that the “seeds” inside really shake! ā¤

Happy planting everybody! And a Happy Spring too!
