Hi all! Now that she is back to her beautiful self, we are here to tell you all of the wonderful things that we love most about Saige! Her full name is Saige Danielle Copeland. She is our cowgirl at heart, but that’s not the only thing we love about her.

Just look at all of those curls! After her makeover, Saige’s hair was starting to look as good as new again! Even at the very top of her roots, there is a lot less frizz. 

The original Saige has loose waves, but I think that I like her with all the bouncy ringlets. These curls will soften over time. 🙂 

And here she is!! ❤ 

We never thought that we would ever get to have a Saige doll. We missed her when she first came out, and all of the Saige listings on eBay were SO expensive. But we loved her the very first time we saw her, so she was in our dreams for quite a long while before we actually found her.

One day I came across a Saige auction listing on eBay that was unbelievably low priced. I thought, that can’t be right, can it??!! There were still so many days left on the auction, so I waited to see what the bidding would look like. Nobody bid. I waited some more. Nobody was bidding on her. I kept waiting and waiting. Finally, I decided to place a very hesitant starting bid. I waited some more. Still, nobody was bidding. I started to get nervous.

Was something wrong with the doll? I looked at all of the pictures very carefully. She came with her meet dress. She even had both of her boots. And for that price? Why wasn’t anyone else bidding?

Suddenly, it occurred to me. The seller had neglected to take Saige’s hair down out of the strange, awkward hairstyle that it was in. That meant that in the eBay pictures, it looked a wee bit like someone had chopped a whole lot of Saige’s hair off.

These ringlets are quite tightly wound. In reality, her hair is nearly down to her bottom. 

Now if I was a layman to hair, I would have believed the same thing, but I know hair. I mean, I have had painfully long hair all of my life, so I knew from the pictures that Saige’s hair wasn’t all that bad, but did that mean that everyone else knew? I mean, nothing in the auction description revealed that her hair had been cut. Still nobody bid on the auction. And we won! (You can imagine the nail biting that went on near the end as we counted down on the clock.)

Whoo hoo!! 🙂 

When she arrived, the seller still had not taken her hair down, but guess what??!! When we unravelled it, it all came flowing down perfectly, just like I knew it would! Didn’t I tell you that I know hair? LOL!

She also came with a tiny paint spot on one of her cheeks, but a dab of nail polish remover took care of that just fine. And there she was! Our Saige! And she was beautiful!

Saige is ten years old. She shares a room in the dollhouse with Angelina, but she can often be found out with the horses. She has a horse named Midnight who will only let her ride him.

Here are some of the things that we love the most about Saige:

1.Eyes

Saige has these gorgeous turquoise eyes that are very unique to her. I think that her eyes are what made us fall in love with her in the first place.

2. Freckles

I am a bit of a sucker for a doll with freckles. I don’t know why.

3. Photogenic

I could take pictures of Saige all day long. She is very photogenic. 🙂 

4. Red Hair

You have to admit, Saige’s red hair is so beautiful. 

5. Meet Outfit

Saige’s meet outfit is so cute!! ❤ I am so glad that she came with it! Especially the boots!

Really I am a fan of a lot of the items in Saige’s collection, but I wanted the Truly Me Western Plaid Outfit for her. When I found this replica on eBay, I thought that it was just as cute. 

I also really wanted her to have a denim dress. This one was also from eBay. 

We are just so happy with the way that Saige’s hair turned out! It just goes to show that a little TLC can go a long way! 🙂 

So pretty! ❤ 

Now I am going to have to sew her up a pretty new dress to match her pretty new hairdo. 🙂
