DOLLHOUSE BEDROOM #4

Saige and Angelina love their new room!!

Okay, we are back with another feature from our mega dollhouse project! It kind of had to be put on hold for all of the end of school business, but it is now up and running once again!

Today, we are featuring dollhouse bedroom #4! This was originally going to be a bedroom for two of our Newberry dolls, but then we acquired more AG dolls! 🙂  We finally decided that the other dolls are going to have to share what we have been calling the doll condo, which is the dollhouse that we created years ago back when we only had two dolls. My how things have changed! 🙂

So I now present to you, Saige and Angelina’s room! Little Miss already had a doll named Samantha who was much loved, so she ended up naming our new to us Samantha, Angelina instead. I think it is a good name for her. 🙂

Again, excuse the lighting in the dollhouse. I am not a photographer by any means, so I don’t have any fancy equipment etc, and the dollhouse is quite dark.

We will be getting a lighting solution soon, but for now, I just had the Little Miss hold a high powered flashlight up to the ceiling to illuminate the room a little better.

It actually worked very well, but she wasn’t always interested in holding the light very steady, and she kept hurrying me along, complaining that I was guilty of child slave labour. LOL! 🙂

This room features polka dotted wallpaper, and mirrored butterflies that we found at the dollar store. We call this the polka dot room. The striped mirror above the dresser is also from the dollar store.

In retrospect, I realize that stripes don’t exactly match polka dots. I stuck the mirror up there, and then I immediately had a sinking feeling, but it’s stuck up there pretty good, so I decided to leave it for now.

Oh well, live and learn. That’s pretty much my motto for DIY crafts. 🙂

I love the little dresser. It’s another jewelry box find, but it works perfectly as a dresser. I found the little alarm clock on eBay. I had to buy one for each room in the dollhouse because they are so cute. They work too, and they come in all sorts of colours! 🙂

The lamp is from the dollar store. It glows in the dark. It’s actually kind of creepy in my basement with all the lights off now, because one of these little lamps is in every room of the dollhouse, and they are all glowing in the dark. LOL!

The little books, snow globe, jewelry holder, and picture frame are all thrifty finds. I cut out a picture from an AG magazine for the photo frame. I first got that idea from Flo over at SayHelloToMyLittleFriends. She has a super cute dollhouse so check it out!

The little brush is a MyLittlePony brush. These are so sweet as little doll hairbrushes! I have one in every room of the dollhouse now. 🙂

On the other side of the room is, you guessed it, another jewelry box! This one has a glassed in front, and little shelves inside that are perfect for holding doll books and other necessities.

On top there is a little basket with berries, a tiny house decoration, and another photo frame, all from the thrift store. The little clutch is OG.

These little frames are so cute! I especially love that I am able to reuse the AG magazine clippings. It makes them that much more realistic! ❤

There is a little coatrack in the corner behind the dresser that I also found at a thrift shop. I just hung a bunch of little purses, and a backpack on there. Sweet purse storage! The rocking horse was another thrift store find.

The little hanging plaque on the wall is from the dollar store. It isn’t a perfect match for this room, but I had already bought it, so I decided to use it anyway. I might still paint it to match the room a little bit better, but I am on the fence, because I really do like the cute sayings on it. 🙂

In the very corner, right beside the bed, is this little night table with the doll’s dollhouse on top. I love this little dollhouse, and I am so glad that I found a spot for it. 🙂 Below the dollhouse is a little porcelain basket of flowers, and on the very bottom shelf of the night stand, which is actually just a wooden box from the dollar store, is a doll book. It’s kinda hard to see back there though. 🙂

Last, but not least, in this room we have the trundle bed that I made. This bed easily sleeps two dolls, but the little dresser does have to be moved out of the way to pull out the trundle.

IMG_2828

As you can see there are a load of stuffed animals on this bed which, I think is pretty normal for most little girl’s rooms. Little Miss has so many stuffed teddies on her bed that she can barely fit in there herself! 🙂

I have yet to make bedding for the beds. I know, I am behind on most of my sewing, but I just wanted to get the doll rooms together. I actually did buy some fabric for the bedding, but then I changed my mind on it. LOL!

UPDATE: You can see the new bedding HERE.

I added the little tea tray with the chicken soup bowls just because it was cute. You can find out how to make chicken soup here. 🙂

Let’s see how the girls like their new room!

IMG_2831

There isn’t a lot of space in these smaller rooms for two dolls, but I think this room is cute and cozy.

IMG_2834

I think Angelina likes it! She’s getting comfortable!

IMG_2833

The little rocking horse will also have to be moved out of the way to make more space, especially if the trundle is pulled out.

IMG_2838

I think the girls will be happy here!

IMG_2840

I might still search for a few horse posters to put on the wall since Saige is a horse lover. It would have been nice if the picture in the frame was Saige with her horse, but it’s still cute! 🙂

Sleeping Beauty! ❤

IMG_2835

I just can’t get over how adorable everything is! It really looks like a real room! This might be one of my favourite rooms in the whole house. ❤

IMG_2843

Sweet dreams! 🙂

(I think Angelina has claimed the top bunk. I’m not sure what Saige thinks of that.)

I hope you enjoyed the tour!

  1. So cute! I have 2 of those little clocks too, they are just perfect. Mine seem to eat batteries like crazy though. Love the wallpaper, I’m a sucker for dots. Where in the world did you find a mini ring holder? I wonder what it is supposed to be?

That dollhouse is just the cutest, I’m keeping my eyes peeled for one of those.

    1. I have no earthly idea what the mini ring holder was supposed to be in real life. I found it at a thrift store, and I thought that it would be perfect for the dolls. Now I just have to make some tiny rings for it! 🙂

  2. Thanks for sharing this lovely post. The room is great. it looks like Angelina is ready for a nap, while Saige is raring to go on the horse.

    1. 🙂 LOL! Saige is definitely a get up and go kind of gal, where I think Angelina is going to be more quiet and reserved. She would much rather stay home and read her book, than jump on a horse to go for an adventure. 🙂

    1. Thank you! It’s actually really hard to find wallpaper for doll rooms because of the size proportions. Also, wallpaper is so expensive these days! Instead, I just used some cute contact paper that I got from the hardware store. It is self adhesive so it stays on the wood very well. 🙂
