Hello all!

As you all know, American Girl Doll of the Year Grace Thomas has come to live with us. And as you all know, Grace loves to bake.

Now, we already had a sweet little bakery and ice cream shop that I had made for the dolls, but something was missing.

Then I came across a fantastic little blog called Made: Pieces for Reese. There I found three awesome DIY’s that were just perfect for a doll’s baking obsession. I can’t wait to show you! I was so inspired, and I hope you will be too!

I won’t go through all the steps as you can find the full tutorials for each one of these adorable projects on her blog, but I just wanted to show off the finished products. I also wanted to demonstrate that even someone like me, who has never before wielded a hammer and saw, could easily follow these simple step by step instructions.

First up is The Bakery Counter

Actually this can be used for many different purposes. It can be a grocery, a deli, or even a snack counter, but we love using it as a bakery counter. Look at all those sweet treats! As promised, here is the tutorial.

Next up is The Bookcase

Again, this piece has many different uses, but we are so happy to have a spot to store all of our baking pans and bowls. You can find the tutorial to make one here.

Last is my favourite The Kitchen Hutch

Isn’t it cute? Go here to make one. It’s not hard to do, and it’s the perfect place to put all the pies to cool! She even has a tutorial to make doll pie that we might try! 🙂

So go ahead and build something! It’s fun, but I’m warning you now, it’s addictive! LOL

(Hmmmm, I think I might need some new garage shelves, maybe a bookshelf for my daughter, a craft table…….hmmm, what else can I build?)
