DOLL CAMP~GOLDFISH IN A BAG

Hi guys! Today for doll camp, we are going to be making a pet goldfish in a bag! Join us over at KaitsAGCrafts for more doll camp excitement all summer long!!

How cute is he?!

To make this craft, start with a plain water bottle.

You will also need:

Orange craft foam

Blue permanent marker

Exacto knife (parental supervision required)

Glue

Tape

A Ziploc baggie

Scissors

A small elastic hair band

Use an Exacto knife to cut the top off of the water bottle. (parent supervision required.)

Next cut the lid part off.

Discard the lid. You should be left with something that looks like this.

With a blue permanent marker, colour the inside blue.

This is going to be the water. šŸ™‚ Pretty!

Next, take some orange craft foam and draw a fish. Cut him out.

Glue your fish to the outside of the water.

Place the fish into the Ziploc baggie. Push it right down into one of the corners of the bag.

Next, cut off the top and one side of the bag.

Here is what you should have. Place a piece of tape on the bottom of your fish bag to flatten the corner of the bag. Gather the top edges of the bag to close it. Then tightly secure it with the small elastic band.

Trim the top edges of your bag.

To add some air to your bag, gently pull the top apart to stretch the elastic and make a tiny opening. Blow some air in the opening. When it is full, let it go, and the elastic will snap back to trap the air inside. IMG_2535

Now your dolls can have their very own pet fishy! šŸ™‚
