Hi guys! Ā I know this post is a couple of days late, but what with Mother’s Day, and a sick little girlie at home, the week has been a bit of a stretch. However, we managed to pull our mega dollhouse project room together!
I now present, the living room/dining area!
I know the lighting is terrible, so just bear with me! I think every room is going to need lighting. š Let’s take a closer look!
Here is the living room area. I built the couches as well as the coffee table/end table set. We also made the fireplace. I added a board to the back of the fireplace just to make it more sturdy and to give it more height.
The window is another basic 8X10 picture frame with a picture from a magazine. I just added some painted straws for the cross frame.
I upholstered the couches and sewed all the little pillows. š
This is a look at the dining area. The picture on the wall says ‘Tap for Service’ ⤠I just used a picture from a magazine and glued it onto a canvas plaque.
All of the little decor items we thrifted at one time or another. I just love that our thrifty items are finding places in the dollhouse instead of all over my floor. š
I built this shelf as part of three. I like it in this room! I just painted it white.
Too cute! I love how it turned out! ā¤
The artwork above the fireplace was originally created for our doll art show. I didn’t attach it permanently, so it can be changed out once in a while. š
Here’s a closer look at the coffee tables!
The end table is a pedestal style.
I am absolutely smitten with the bolster roll pillow! So is my daughter. She likes to carry it around with her like a little stuffy. lol! I have to watch, or it’s going to go missing. š
I love the scene out the window! I just hot glued a piece of lace on top for a curtain.

Ok, let’s see what the dolls think!
Becky, Emily and Brianna are hanging out in the new living room.
“The fire is warm and cozy,” Becky says.
“And these couches are bouncy!” says Emily.
“Bring on the food!” says Brianna.
The other girls laugh.
“What?” Brianna asks. “You know I’m always hungry!”
So, what’s the verdict?
All the dolls agree.
“We love it!” they shout in unison. š
We do too!!!
What do you think?

I love it!! I think it is absolutely adorable, and I think my favorite part is the fact that it’s all handmade or thrifted treasures. I literally LOL’d at the “instead of all over my floor” comment!

Thanks! I know the lighting is terrible. The dollhouse is in the basement and there isn’t much light down there to begin with. š
