MINI WORLD CREATIONS WITH LITTLE MISS

Hi guys! Today the Little Miss wants to show you what we’ve been working on together these past few months. Now that she can use the glue gun on her own, she has become very serious about crafting. What began as a quick, simple project has actually blossomed into an entire series of pretty cool little creations. (To be honest, there’s not much else to do around here when we are stuck inside on those -40C days.)

Anyway, Little Miss is very much into the Littlest Pet Shops lately, and has been for a while now, but I think that these creations would be super cute to make for the mini dolls as well. We don’t really craft for the LPS in perfect sized scale anyway so most of our creations end up just being regular 1:12 scale miniatures which are appropriate for the minis too.

Today, she would like to show you the boutique that we created together as it was the project that we started with.

It’s not perfect, but perfect is boring, I always say, and I wanted to give her complete free rein to do whatever she wanted. I mostly just stood in to help with structure and supervision. I didn’t want to come in and MOM all over her project, so most of the vision is hers. I think she did a super job, but I’m the mom so I’m biased already. LOL! 🙂

Without further adieu, we would like to welcome you to our mini boutique, the first in our new series of Mini World Creations with Little Miss!

Everything we used was out of the recycle bin. Besides cardboard we used contact paper, scrapbook paper, pony beads, strings of tiny plastic pearls, paper clips, craft foam, thread spools, rick rack trim, card stock paper, chocolate boxes and pink plastic packaging from a bead set that had different compartments in it. I love the little shopping carts. ❤ This is the makeup and perfume counter. It was made from a Purdy’s Chocolate box. The jewelry tree on the right is some spools of thread with a paperclip bent on top to make some hooks. The clothes on the racks are just scrapbooking paper. We had the little hangers already, but you could make some out of wire. You could also make clothes out of fabric scraps if you wanted. The rack itself is a bent paper clip attached to some cardboard with pony beads for feet. I love the lipstick/eye shadow display. It was an oddly shaped box that a watch came in. We just covered it in card stock. Over on this side is the register. The little shelves have some craft foam purses on display and the little boutique bags are also made of craft foam with pearl bead string handles. 🙂

I’m told that the things in the little bowl beside the till are complimentary mascara. Need some designer shoes? We’ve got a full wall of them in size 6, 7, 8. 🙂

Sorry sizes 5, 9, & 10+ but we ran out of space. LOL! These little shoes are for display only, and are glued right to the racks. Here are some novelty cellphone cases that we also made out of craft foam. Those are folded pants in the bottom bins. She made some extra eye shadow palettes to keep in stock on the top shelf. She also created this separate little room to use as a change room. It’s a separate little box but it can be placed right beside the boutique. At the end of the day, everything fits right inside the box for storage and the extra floor space can be folded up to be stored away. All in all this is a pretty fun little set. The Little Miss has been playing with it a lot, and I think that all of her hard work has really paid off. She did a great job! 🙂

Thank you for joining us today for Creations with the Little Miss! Be sure to stay tuned as we will be doing more of these Mini World segments. We will also be having a giveaway soon too, so we are excited for that!

Have an amazing week everybody, and keep on crafting! 🙂
