Hello everybody!! We are so thrilled to finally be able to introduce Maryellen Larkin into our doll family! After creating her Seaside Diner a year ago, we were beginning to wonder if she would ever come to stay.
Well this past week was the Little Miss’ birthday, and who should arrive but Maryellen herself! We are so excited!
She is the perfect host for the diner! This doesn’t mean that Rebecca won’t still work in the diner, but it is Maryellen’s domain after all.
Okay, so out of all of the doll’s meet outfits, I have to say that Maryellen’s is my favourite. The little striped dress is too cotton candy cute for words, the crocheted teal shrug with the monogrammed M is beyond adorable, and those tiny leather shoes! Squee! 🙂
Ahem. But for real you guys, we are pleased as punch that Maryellen is finally here!
Did you know that her hair is red?
I thought her hair was strawberry blonde at first, but the Little Miss insists that it is red. The one thing that we can’t decide is what colour her eyes are. They are quite dark, so we can’t really tell if they are green or grey.
All in all, we love her to bits. She is way cuter in person. That’s one thing that I am beginning to notice about these dolls. They are always way cuter in person.
Little Miss insists that Maryellen needs a pair of roller-skates. I insist that she needs a poodle skirt or two, and maybe about a thousand more little dresses just as cute as this one. 🙂 ❤

What do you think Maryellen’s middle name should be? We’ve been tossing a few around, but we haven’t been able to come to a decision.

Faking It Mostly 
Love Maryellen!! Her hair really is strawberry blond. I don’t even think AG has ever made a real true red head. PC Felicity is pretty close to being true red, and currently TM 61 is probably closest to being a redhead. Her eyes are dark hazel. I love her meet too. She looks more than thrilled to be in your diner. Have you read her story yet? It’s one of my favorites.

I am looking forward to reading her story! I definitely thought that her hair was a strawberry blonde, but it seems more orange than that. I don’t know, but it sure is pretty!! It’s also a unique colour, none of our other dolls have that colour of hair. 🙂 Our Newberry doll Abby is our true red head. She has fiery copper red hair though which I think is just gorgeous too!

I know! Maryellen is like the cutest beforever doll! My Maryellen renamed Meritt has strawberry blonde hair. I call her eyes dark hazel. For middles you could do: Rose, Beth, Anne, Denise, Gail, Joyce, Catherine. These are all popular 50s names. Hope I helped!

Thanks! We have been waiting on her and debating on her for a long time now. We just have no space for her in the dollhouse so unfortunately she is going to have to live in the diner. LOL! That’s okay, Grace lives in the loft above the bakery we made. 🙂 Maybe we can somehow work some living space for Maryellen in her diner.

Thanks! We are happy that she has come to live with us!! Her diner really needed her! Although Rebecca did do a pretty good job working there last year. 😛
