HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Hi guys! Happy Halloween!

I just wanted to pop by with a quick doll crafty tutorial and a reminder to keep all of those mini candy boxes that you will be getting this year.

One of the most versatile is the miniature Smarties box. These are the perfect size for your dolls. We made them into cute doll pasta boxes one year. Just print and cut a label to paste on. You can see how we made ours HERE.

You can also use these boxes to make cute pencil holders for your dolls. Just cut the tops off and paint.

I also cut cute little ears for some of my pencil organizers to make adorable animal faces.

Add paint and details. Then glue the little boxes together.

Here is another little doll pencil holder that I think is really cute.

Turn the Smarties box on its side and punch holes in the top for the pencils. Start the holes with a pin and then use a skewer to make the hole bigger. Paint the box white. Cut a cloud shape from craft foam to glue to the front. Add cute face details and you’re done! We actually made this one in human size too!

You can make a doll pencil box by cutting the top flap as shown.

Next, paint your pencil box. When painting these I just do thin coats with lots of dry time in between. You could use nail polish or spray paint too, or just cover the boxes with paper or craft foam.

Add a string loop and a tiny bead to close the pencil box flap.

These little Smarties boxes also make the perfect doll Kleenex boxes. Cut an oval out of the top.

Paint. Then cut some tiny Kleenex squares to add in.

So cute!!

What else? Come on! Let’s put our brains to the test and really challenge ourselves!

If you cut and glue a few boxes together, you can make this cute doll desk caddy.

Turn it and it works this way too!

Doll home decor? Okay! Cut away the front of the box. I made two compartments and left a strip in the middle to separate them. Wrap in twine and it becomes this cute basket to hold little decor bottles.

As a finishing touch I painted the inside of the basket as well as any other areas that needed it using brown paint.

Adorable!

And of course I can’t make a Halloween post without including some cute Halloween decor. Paint the Smarties box orange for a jack o’ lantern, green for Frankenstein and white for a scary ghostie. Use a black Sharpie to add the details.

These would make fantastic doll mantle decor. How spookily!!

What a fun craft! So before you toss all those tiny boxes into the landfills just think, what can I make for my dolls?

I hope this gives you a ton of inspiration!

That’s all for now!

I just wanted to stop by and wish you a happy Halloween!

Here are my Halloweiners. 😆

Stay safe out there tonight! I wish you lots and lots of treats!!
