Hi guys! Welcome back to my blog!
Today I am making a boho rainbow wall hanging for my doll room. I am slowly getting my new doll studio organized and I want to do some doll room set ups. I have seen these cute rainbow wall decor pieces everywhere, so I wanted to recreate one for the dolls.
YOU WILL NEED:
Pipe cleaners
Yarn
Hot glue
And that’s it! How simple is that?
Now let’s get started! First take three pipe cleaners about 12 inches long (this measurement is just a starting point and doesn’t matter too much since we will be cutting these to size later anyway)

Twist the pipe cleaners together to form a snake.

Now tie on the yarn to the end of your snake and begin wrapping.

Try to keep your yarn wraps as even as possible, building up a bit of bulk on the pipe cleaner as you go.

To keep it even, I kind of pinch the pipe cleaner with my fingers as I wrap, and I don’t move my finger until the yarn in that spot has been built up to match the previous wraps. However, if you find that parts of your wrapping are thinner than others, you can tie on more yarn and simply wrap more on there.

Once you are done wrapping, tie off the yarn and set it aside.

Now we will make the other six layers (seven in total) gradually reducing the lengths of the pipe cleaners as we go.

Now it is time to connect them. Using hot glue, start with the smallest layer of the rainbow.

I glued mine on top of my silicone mat so it wouldn’t end up sticking to my workspace.

Shape your rainbow as you go. Be sure the layers are tightly stacked without any gaps between.

Once they are all glued together and shaped, you can trim off the excess pipe cleaner straight across.

Put a tiny bit of hot glue on each end to keep the yarn from unraveling.
Now we will make the tassels. Tape a piece of yarn to your workspace. I used a natural cream colour, kind of like a macrame colour and texture for mine to offset and be a contrast to the white in the rainbow.

Cut many pieces of yarn at about 5.5 inches long.

Place a yarn loop under the string. Then feed the ends through the loop and pull tight.

Tie many yarn loops on the string. Mine ended up needing 19 loops on each side of the rainbow, but you can just measure as you go.

Hot glue the tassels to the rainbow. Again, I used my silicon mat.

Cut off the ends of the yarn the tassels are tied to. I just ended up blending the ends in with the rest of the tassels, but you can also just trim them off too if you want. Next, trim your tassels straight across.
Cut a piece of yarn for the hanger. Make a loop and hot glue it to the back of your rainbow. This is so you can hang your creation in your doll room.

And you are done!

How cute is that? 😍❤️❤️❤️

I hope you enjoyed crafting with us today, and I hope your dolls receive one of these adorable boho rainbows for Christmas this year!
Speaking of which, that season is nearly upon us, so we had better get started on our Christmas doll crafting! Stay tuned in the upcoming month for more on that.
In the meantime, keep on smiling my beautiful friends.
✨I wish all good things for you and yours.✨
Now go have a crafty kind of day!
PS. I would like to introduce my pup’s little brother as we were on a break from blogging when he arrived.
His name is Nico. He is one year old, but he is fully grown.

They have the same mom and dad, they just come from separate litters. Teo is three years old.
