Hi guys! Today we are here to share a quick hack that can take your doll’s outfits from blah to wow in less than two minutes.

Do you have a piece of doll clothing or a pair of doll boots that could use a temporary makeover? All you need for this hack are coloured paperclips and/or bobbypins or even a small hair clip, hot glue and embellishments of your choice.

We like pom poms, tassels, small charms, bows, gems, flowers etc. but you can use whatever you have on hand.

Hot glue the embellishment to the smaller inner loop of your paperclip.

Be sure that you only put hot glue on the inner part of the clip.

You may have to open the paperclip a little so you don’t accidentally get glue on the outer loop too.

Depending on the colour or style of your outfit, bobbypins or even hair clips will work too. You could use a safety pin, but we didn’t want to create permanent holes in our items.

Hot glue the pom pom to the closed end of the bobbypin.

If you don’t have coloured clips, you could also paint your clips to match the item you are embellishing.

Now just slide the clip in place.

And you’re done!

How cute are these?!

Make as many as you like to coordinate with any outfit!

A pair of plain boots becomes so versatile with as many different styles as you want!

A sweater is given a lift by adding a cute pom pom too!

Make sure to slide the bobbypin into the sweater between the yarn as shown.

You can even add more pom poms for extra cuteness!

Next, embellish the top button on a dress.

So pretty!

Shoes can also be temporarily embellished although they are a bit shorter, so I had to arrange the paperclip coming in from the side on the diagonal for these.

Add a temporary pom pom to the top of a hat, or even a side bow.

Too cute!

The sky is truly the limit here, and the great thing is, it’s all temporary, so you can change it up as much and as often as you like!

I find that sometimes, I just don’t have a pair of boots to go with a particular outfit so this hack really helps to redesign and better coordinate them.

I also find that some outfits or pieces have been photographed to death and are in need an upgrade. This is the perfect hack to do just that.

Disclaimer: Some paperclips have sharp ends. Mine weren’t too bad because they are coated. To ensure that you do not scratch the vinyl on your doll, you can use a dab of hot glue on the paperclip ends similar to the coating on bobbypin ends.
