Hi there! Today we want to do a list of things that we love about Angelina! Angelina is a Samantha doll that we decided to rename, because we already had a Samantha living in the house.
We won Angelina in an estate auction from eBay. The lady selling her was not the actual owner of the doll, and she told us that she didn’t know very much about the dolls, but we decided to put in the lowest bid anyway.
Guess what? No one else bid, so we won her at the lowest price! 🙂
As soon as she arrived, I knew that she was an Angelina. Her face was so angelic and sweet. Her full name became Angelina Ruby Moore. I also knew right away that she was a younger girl. She immediately made friends with Molly McIntire who is also eight years old, and they’ve been causing mischief ever since.
Here are some things that I love the most about Angelina:
1. Her face.
Did I mention that the Pleasant Company Samantha doll looks exactly like I did when I was a child?
I think that Angelina has the most adorable face mold. Maybe that’s just because she looks like me. LOL! But really, she is so sweet that you can never stay mad at her for long.
2. Personality
Angelina has a very angelic personality. That’s why it causes her so much anxiety when Molly drags her off on an adventure that she knows is going to get them into trouble. She is forever apologizing to the older girls for Molly’s misdemeanours, and her nervous giggling often gives their secret hiding places away.
She is also very shy. She had to be persuaded to do this photoshoot, and even still you could tell that she was very nervous about the spotlight being on her.
(the Little Miss painted those flowers ^^ for me. ❤ )
3. Eyes
Angelina has these gorgeous chocolate brown eyes. They are just like big, pretty puppy dog eyes. Again, you can’t stay mad at her for very long with those eyes.
I didn’t mention Angelina’s hair because it can be somewhat frustrating. Her hair is super thick with a tangle of curls that make you want to pull out your own hair. It is also a bit uneven where I think someone might have tried at one point to give it a cut. I am going to try to even it out a bit as well as give it a good condition to see if that might help, but that’s for another day.
Here is a photoshoot with Angelina! Enjoy!
Every Star
by Virginia Bennett (that’s me!)
I would pick every star,
For you.
Invent every sunrise.
I would fasten love and happiness,
To the rainbow,
So that you can find solace,
After every storm.
I want to flatter the roses,
So that they will perform for you.
I paste up the sun and the moon,
Side by side.
I try to disguise every teardrop,
Extinguish your fears.
I summon the winds,
And I capture the tide.
I want to mend the blue of the sky,
And tease the sun to make it shine.
Sing to the birds, so that they will return the favour.
I am smiling.
And tonight,
I pick out a star for you.
❤
I hope you enjoyed! Sorry so late, our house has been super busy lately!
I have been writing a lot, and I am also preparing to teach some Writer’s Workshops, so that’s exciting!
I promise to blog more often!

Angelina is LOVELY! So photogenic. My Molly came from a thrift store and she is one of my favorite dolls! I love the thought of getting a second hand doll and giving her a new life.

Samantha is the doll that got me into this mess, so I have a bit of a soft spot for her myself!

LOL! It was a Samantha look alike that got us into this mess. 🙂 When we finally got the real Samantha, she just didn’t seem like a Samantha to us. 🙂
