I am starting a new series on my blog called Thrifty Thursday! This means that every Thursday, I will be showcasing five items that we’ve found for our dolls that week at our local thrift store. I would like to do this mainly because we often have quite a few thrifty finds to showcase, usually at only ten to twenty five cents a piece, but I would also like to demonstrate that it isn’t always an expensive endeavour to purchase suitable items for your dolls. It also gives us something fun to look forward to on Thursdays so yay!
I must admit, we are pretty lucky. Our local thrift shop is a treasure trove when it comes to doll item hunting, and the prices just can’t be beat. I like to go on Wednesday nights, while my daughter is at her dance class, because that is the day that they get all of their new stock in.
Okay, without further adieu, Emily is here to present to you our top 5 thrifty finds of the week. ❤
1. Tea Platter
This little silver serving tray is perfect for doll tea parties. At 50 cents, I have to say, it was a steal! I just love that it is made of metal, and the handle is so pretty. ❤
I absolutely adore this teapot. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it on the shelf. 🙂
Despite the fact that these are made of glass, which means the potential for breakage increases tenfold, we still like them. They are great for displays, and there is a wide variety of different veggie types.
These are a smaller version of the veggies that we found for the dollhouse kitchen so we were thrilled to have them as they are much better sized for dolls. 🙂
We have a fun patio to decorate for our dollhouse, so these little planters will come in handy. Our thrift store always has tons of little plant pots that are the perfect size for the dolls.
5.Lea Inspired Candles
These colourful candles are my favourite! They are so tropical! I instantly thought of GOTY 2016 Lea Clark when I saw them. 🙂 We will probably be displaying these on our doll’s patio too. ❤
I hope you enjoyed our Thrifty Thursday! I think that this is going to be a really fun addition to our blog!
