Hello! Today I am going to show you how to make some cute head bands for your dolls. They are so cute and dress up any outfit nicely.

What you need:

Plain dollar store head bands

Elastic band

Boiling water

Ribbon

Beads/sequins

Scrapbook embellishments

To shrink your head band, bend it to fit your doll’s head. Then use an elastic hair band to hold it in place. Just wrap the elastic until it is secure.

Using a pair of tongs, dip your head band in the boiling water for 2 minutes.

*Parent’s supervision required.

After the head band is cooled, use pliers to clip off the excess.

Now that you’re done, it’s time to decorate your new head bands! You can use anything from ribbon to beads, sequins and bows. Just have fun and be creative!

I think they are supposed to be used to organize computer cords, but we made these super cute and easy makeup compacts for the dolls instead!

Just hot glue some tin foil or foil paper for a mirror on one side, and some craft foam or seed beads for blush/eyeshadow on the other side. You can choose whatever colours you like!
