Okay after a very long hiatus, I am finally back! I was never really gone from the world of dolls, I was just so caught up in moving and renovation. It was a bit of a whirlwind there, but we have finally settled in to our new home. Back in July 2025, I bought an abandoned 1913 character home that needed a lot of love, but now that the major renovation dust has settled, I finally feel like I am no longer in limbo and can return to the doll making world! I can’t wait to jump back in to creating for the dolls!
I have also completed my newest novel, so it’s off to the editing room for me! This is the second in my new Aether Sky series. It also kind of got completely shelved during the move, but now I am back on track and I am so excited to get this thing out there. Here is a mock up for the new book cover.

Coming up, I’m planning more doll‑scale DIYs and decor, craft tutorials and sewing patterns, as well as reviews of doll brands and accessories. I’ll also share an occasional peek at my writing life, since that’s a huge part of my life too.
My new home consists of a crafting/sewing space and then a separate doll/photo studio room. The place has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, but I have set up a fifth bedroom for my master suite in the bonus area downstairs so that my daughter can have her own private space upstairs. She is 18 now so she will eventually be moving away for university. Maybe then I can move things around a bit but for now, I wanted her to have her own separate area of the house.
Here are some pics of the new place! There is still a lot to be done but it is mostly cosmetic work. When we started, the home had been completely abandoned with nothing working and a lot of leaking. It all had to be completely gutted out and the front of the house was collapsing and needed rebuilt entirely.
So of course, I bought it. Lol

As you can see, there’s still a lot more left to do in the house, but I am fully unpacked, and my dolls are all out on display. I am so excited to dive right in! I hope you come along with me as I continue with renovating this house and also take up my love for doll crafting again! 😊
As always, keep smiling and have a crafty kind of day!

Wow Virginia, this is such a lovely and welcoming looking home! I think you’re going to love living in it and am glad that you can now write and make creations for our friends, the dolls again! You’ve created a beautiful place and I am so glad for you and your daughter! She’ll have a cozy, relaxing and peaceful home to visit during holidays. Congratulations to you both!!
