Hello all! Welcome to another segment of the mega dollhouse project!
At the start, I wanted Kit to have an exclusive place of her own where she could write to her heart’s content, and no one would bother her. Wouldn’t that be bliss? ā¤
Unfortunately, we have too many dolls, and not enough living areas, so instead we decided to create a historical space, somewhere for a few dolls to live in the harmony of the past together. š
Enter Felicity, Kit’s new room mate!
Felicity is very excited to be sharing a space with her new friend! Kit was reluctant to share at first, but now they are getting along splendidly. They actually have a lot of fun together! š
Here is a look at their shared space:
The historical room features a set of Pleasant Company bunk beds. I would like to make little quilts for these beds, so they don’t have bedding just yet.
They do have a few stuffies though. š
The little dresser is a thrift store find. It is a jewelry box. I love using thrift store jewelry boxes as doll furniture. They are so darn cute! They often have realistic details!
The little dresser has three pull out drawers and two side compartments. It’s adorable! On top is a mini Noah’s ark that we found along with a thrifted pottery pitcher. The lamp is an air freshener. š
At the end of the bunk beds is Kit’s writing corner. I had to give her somewhere to write!! The prayer plaque has the God grant me the serenityĀ to accept the things I can not change prayer on it.
Sometimes a writer has to remember that prayer! š
I am absolutely loving the old fashioned camera that we found! It is a pencil sharpener! Go figure! ⤠How cute is that?
Moving on to the other side of the room you will find a rocking horse, a globe, and a rocking chair bench.
There is also Rebecca’s trunk which is next to the doll’s closet. This is a shared closet by all of the dolls. š
Our doll closet is an upcycled toy box. I just added some clothing racks and hooks inside. Also, what was once a little puppet theatre has now become a clothing rack for the dolls. š
The large wardrobe cabinet is actually functional doll storage. It is an Ikea piece I think. Now it holds all of the dolls socks, undies, swimwear, mitts, hats and accessories, etc.
To jazz it up a bit, we added some encyclopedia coasters, a DIY kleenex box, two old fashioned wooden cars and some other knick knacks. Cute and functional!
Now I want to show you the coolest part of the room!
The loft space!!! ⤠⤠ā¤
Ohmygoodness! Ohmygoodness!
At the very end of the mega dollhouse is a narrow space that just fits a bunk bed. I decided to continue the historical room, and give it a cute loft space. I put down some carpet, and it seemed to be perfect, but then my daughter disagreed with me, saying that there was no way that it would work, because how in the world would the dolls get up to the loft???
And then we found the stair shelf while we were out thrifting one day, and the idea just sort of blossomed from there. š
You can see Kit climbing the stairs now. It is not exactly safety first, but it is good enough for the little Miss! š
Back then people weren’t as concerned about their child’s safety anyway, right? LOL! Besides, if she falls, she will just land on the top bunk, hopefully. š
We also found this adorable little swing that I suspended from a tiny curtain rod, and filled up with teddies, just for fun! The curtain rod is also more space to hang doll clothes.
Here is Samantha enjoying the new loft space. She is waiting for her new room mate.
Can you guess who is coming? So fun! So mysterious! š ā¤
Samantha is wearing the adorable little sweater shrug that my mom knit for us! Isn’t it cute? My mom is such a talented knitter! She used a pattern from PixieFaire.
Aren’t moms great? š
I just love the little brown stripe detail! ⤠LOVE!
We love it! Thank you mom! š ā¤
Samantha’s loft space also has a little night stand. This is another jewelry box find. I love that it fits perfectly in the space. š
The lamp glows in the dark. We got it from the dollar store. We also added a tiny little house ornament. Cute! ā¤
Okay, before I go, here are some bonus pics of Felicity in her brand new dress!
Felicity was in excellent condition when we got her. The only thing I decided to do was toĀ paint her lips.
Here is a photo of Felicity Before.
And this is After!
I think just a touch of rose on her lips gives her some charm! It also makes her eyes pop! She is so pretty!!
Her new dress is absolutely stunning!
It comes with a pinner cap.
We bought this dress on eBay. So many ribbons, so little time! ā¤
Beautiful!! ā¤
I hope you enjoyed taking a tour of our historical room!
Let us know what you thought!
Also, who do you think Samantha’s mystery room mate will be? She’s historical!

So fun and so many great finds, can’t decide which is my favorite. That little house ornament reminds me of the Rovers Return!
Hmmm…I vote for Julie moving in.

It really does look like the Rovers Return! That’s awesome! haha! š I’ve been finding lots of these little house ornaments lately. Many of them say Bailey’s on them. I’m wondering if they ran a promotion or something. Oh well, they are very cute in doll rooms! lol!
