DIY DOLL TRUNDLE BED

IMG_2236

Hi there all! Today I want to show you the adorable trundle bed that I have been working on for our mega dollhouse project!

Here are some pics in the less than finished state:

Be sure your doll will fit!! 🙂

I simply followed the plans over at Lipstick and Sawdust except I tweaked it a little bit to make it more my own. Mostly, I just made it taller because I wanted a deeper trundle bunk.

I built this little bed out of scrap wood, so it cost me nothing! I just love free projects, don’t you? 🙂

I found some cute little Build-A-Bear minis!

The ice cream cone and the gum ball machine were keychain backpack hangers, but I just cut the clips off.

I made both of the mattresses myself, but I have yet to make blankets for the beds.

It was actually a very simple plan to follow, so I recommend it to any of you woodworkers out there. I’m not a professional by any means, and by that I mean, I have barely any idea what I’m doing most of the time. 😛 I just tend to wing it mostly. LOL!

Here are some pics of the dolls enjoying it. 🙂

This bed is perfect for sleepovers!!

The trundle just tucks back under nice and neat when you aren’t using it.

If the dolls aren’t sleeping, they can relax on top!

I built this bed because I wanted two beds for one of the smaller rooms in the mega dollhouse. I didn’t want to use a bunk bed because they are usually too tall, so this worked out perfectly!

I hope you go take a look at the tutorial, and I hope that this inspires you to go, and build something! 🙂

Love you all!
