DIY DOLL NOTEBOOKS

Hi there all! I just wanted to do a quick post on the little doll notebooks that I made a few days ago for my niece’s birthday!

One of our favourite MyLifeAs furniture pieces is this little desk.

So when we purchased one for my niece for her birthday, I thought that these little notebooks would be the perfect gift to go with it.

I found the amazing tutorial on how to make them over at AmericanGirlFan.

However, I made some slight changes to her original design:

I ended up simply stapling the binding instead of using a needle and thread. I also used blank paper instead of lined, but that is entirely optional. Next, I laminated the front and back covers with packing tape. I was gifting the notebooks to a six year old, so I wanted them to be more durable.

Here are some more pics of the finished product! I think the washi tape idea on the spines is the most adorable thing ever!

I can see so many more of these in our future. ❤

They were easy to make, and I am just loving all of the different colour options.

Plus, the kids just LOVE them. They were the hit of the party, so if you plan on making some, I promise, you will not be disappointed. 🙂

Feel free to decorate your notebooks with stickers or labels to personalize them even more.

This was the perfect add on to the accessories that already came with the MyLifeAs desk! I just put all of the little notebooks into a ziploc baggie. Then I tucked them onto one of the shelves of the desk before wrapping the whole thing up. 🙂

(This is also the ultimate craft to help use up so many of those small paper scraps!)

I hope you enjoyed, and I hope that you find this tutorial useful! 🙂

Have a crafty kind of day!
