Hello all! Today I’m here to show you guys how to make a cute pet bed! We are a bit obsessed about doll pets around here. My daughter plays with the pets even more than she plays with the dolls it seems. 🙂

One of the cute pet beds that we’ve had our eye on lately is the AG Galaxy Pet Bed. As soon as I saw it, my gears got to turning. That’s what usually happens. LOL!

So here is a look at the original AG Galaxy Pet Bed:

As soon as we set out to make this though, my girl immediately boycotted pink. Luckily, we opted to use a silver coffee can. 🙂

First, I peeled the label off.

Next, I drew the shape that I wanted to cut out of the can. I cut it into two pieces using an Exacto knife. (Parental supervision required)

Realistically, this could actually make two pet beds, so that’s a bonus. Or you could make two doll chairs! Double bonus!

Just put the lid back on the bottom of the one with the hole in it.

Be sure to wipe out any, and all coffee remnants. I don’t recommend rinsing it out as it is made of cardboard, and water could ruin the integrity of the can.

Make sure your pet fits in its new bed. 🙂 Cutie!

I used hot glue to add bead feet to the bottom of the bed.

Now you are ready to decorate your bed! You can use stickers, washi tape, paint, or whatever you like! My daughter really liked the silver colour, so we decided to just leave it.

There was also a bit of glue where the coffee label had been. I just covered it with washi tape. I also tried to peel it off a bit more, but that was after this picture. 🙂

We debated adding some sticker stars to the inside of the bed. I didn’t want to cut actual stars because again, I didn’t want to ruin the cardboard. My daughter decided that she didn’t want stars after all, but you could do whatever you want!

Next we made the pet pillow. I just used some left over material I had. Pink won this time because it was also very fuzzy and fluffy. 🙂

I just traced the lid of the coffee container onto paper to make a pattern, adding in an inch of extra for the hem.

There you have it! A cute little pet bed! ❤

All of the pets wanted to try it out. LOL! 🙂
