MAD ABOUT MINIS – DOLLHOUSE BEDROOM #2

IMG_3739

Hi guys! With back to school right around the corner, we have been crafting like mad to get the mini dollhouse completed. Today we want to show you the second bedroom in the house. This bedroom belongs to the Our Generation mini girl Holly.

I hope you enjoy!

We did this room in green polka dot and bright cherry red. We also added a bit of an owl theme.

I made the bed and the bedding awhile back. I am so glad that it now has a home!

Mini doll bed tutorial.

We used photos cut from a doll catalogue for the pictures on the walls. We also used some cute owl postcards and some stickers. All of the mini dollhouse furnitures were previously purchased online.

In this corner of the room is the armoire. We found this mini desk/table while out thrifting. It didn’t have a top, so I glued on some red popsicle sticks.

I love the mini cello! It was another thrift store find.

The toy soldiers are previous online purchases. I made the letter prints from scrapbook embellishments.

I made this photo collage from pictures in doll catalogues. I thought it was pretty cute, like something a little girl would make for her room with pictures of all of her friends. 🙂

I made the vase from polymer clay. I also made the little notebook.

In this corner of the room is a papasan chair. I found it while out thrifting. That’s where most of my doll things come from. 🙂

The chair has an owl print! I like that it is made of steel. It is very sturdy. Pink piglet is enjoying it very much. ❤

The little plant pot and nightstand were eBay finds. I used to collect mini doll furnitures. 🙂

IMG_3751

All of the wallpaper is simply scrapbook paper. I enjoyed mixing and matching the colours. 🙂

IMG_3755

I made the desk chair out of a plastic pizza box “table” and a piece from Ikea packaging. I just hot glued it together. It only has three legs, but it’s still sturdy. 🙂

I really love the little straw hat on the wall too. ❤

And here’s Holly come to check out her new room!

IMG_3756

Hello everybody! Welcome to my new room!

IMG_3757

Let’s take a quick look around shall we?

IMG_3758

Oooh, nice desk. Perfect for homework!

IMG_3764

Comfy chair!

IMG_3766

I could get used to this!

IMG_3761

Ahhhh, comfy bed! All in a day’s work I say.

IMG_3763

Goodnight everybody!

Goodnight Holly!

  1. Like the discussion and display of the doll bedroom, for when I was growing up I never had a bedroom to design.
So to make up for this odd story of no bedroom for a child, my husband built two beds for three dolls, and I made the bedding for each doll. One bed went to a family of three little girls under the age of 5. The two young children are one and half years old, and the other two and one half years of age. They loves books and dolls, such good children to each other. The girls are so little that they climb on to the library tables to read a book as young children often do. Peering at pictures in the book, the mother is certainly given a gift of three. atk

    1. Her pi’s are actually Barbie’s little sister’s clothes. We’ve found that a lot of the Barbie and Bratz clothing fit the mini dolls. 🙂 I’ve seen those chair cell phone holders! So cute! 🙂

      1. Oh, that’s right! I have gotten a couple of dresses for Madeline from the Barbie line. Will have to look for PJs now too. 🙂
