Hi all! Today I want to introduce you to someone very special. 🙂
Meet Sophie Marie!
Sophie is our beautiful baby girl who came to live with us a few Christmases ago. We like to think that Santa’s elves crafted her especially for us. 🙂 Sophie is about 18 months old. She is the only baby dolly we have. She is an Adora Doll, and just like her brand name, she is Adora-ble!!
Sophie has a vinyl face, arms and legs and a cuddly cloth body. She is quite heavy, just like a real baby.
She has real eyelashes, but her eyes do not open and close. We don’t mind. She is still so sweet. ❤
Sophie’s hands are very realistic baby hands. One is an open palm.
And the other can grip things. 🙂
Sophie wears bloomers, booties and socks. She has lots of lace ruffles! She also has a realistic diaper.
The greatest thing about baby Sophie is that she is lightly scented. She smells like baby powder, just like a real baby!
Her wig is cut in a short bob with a little ponytail. Her hair is very beautiful high quality.
Careful Sophie. She likes to climb on things. 🙂
She also loves her new rocking horse!
Ok Sophie, let’s get you dressed in your pretty clothes! Sophie comes with four little pinafores so you can dress her up for the different seasons. ❤

I highly recommend these dolls. They are very beautiful and realistic, but also very soft and cuddly. They are perfect for little girls. They don’t work as younger sisters for the 18 inch dolls though. They are much bigger.
We opted for a short haired baby doll, because my daughter was nearly a baby herself at the time. She had short hair just like Sophie’s. She also wasn’t quite at the age to take care of longer doll hair.
*Sophie’s tea set is a dollar store find. So cute!*

She’s a very pretty doll! I love all the different poses you did with her, very realistic.

Thanks! She doesn’t stand on her own, and she is quite heavy, so it is tricky to pose her, but it was still fun! We didn’t know about the Bitty Babies when we discovered this doll for our daughter. I like the fact that she is a bit older. The Bitties are very cute, but they still seem quite young, like around 4-6 months. Maybe it’s because they have no hair.
