Hi! I’m Sam and this is my horse. His name is Chestnut.

When I first met Chestnut I didn’t know if he was going to like me. 

I was pretty shy, and unsure. I didn’t think that he would ever let me ride him. 

He was so much bigger than me. I thought that I might fall off!

But then I got to know him. I found out that he likes to be scratched behind the ears.

And that his favourite treats are carrots.

I found out that he was just as shy as me!

Now we are best friends. ❤

And he lets me ride him every day! 

Horses need a lot of exercise. 

Maybe one day, we’ll even learn how to jump! 

I’ve seen that at a lot of the horse shows.

For now, we’ll keep to the easy trails. 

Just me and my horse.
