Hello!  I am super excited to share good news with you today!

We’ve been trying to decide for a while now who our new doll of the year should be since we won’t be purchasing AG 2016 GOTY Lea Clark.

Sadly, Lea is quite similar to another doll that we own, so although we really enjoy crafting up all of her fun accessories, she won’t be making it into our collection.

We didn’t want to order a doll from the American Girl site this year anyway since the US exchange rate for Canadians is so high right now, and shipping can be atrocious.

Instead, we found this beautiful TLC used condition American Girl doll on Ebay. Even bigger bonus? She was located right here in Canada. I often look on Ebay to find used dolls in TLC condition because you can usually find them for a whole lot cheaper, and there is always a ton of life left in them.

Okay, I can’t wait any longer! Eee!

Without further adieu, we are proud to announce the newest member of our doll family!

Emily Roberts has arrived!

Isn’t she beautiful? I just love her freckles and her gorgeous blue eyes! She is reminiscent of the AG GOTY Nicki Fleming doll, but it is tricky to tell since her hair isn’t as long or curly.

I used some bobby pins to recurl her bangs a little bit.

Her hair came in a ponytail with longer bangs in the front. She was a TLC used doll, so I think that her back hair might have been cut. You can hardly tell though, and she was a steal of a deal, so we don’t mind. We will probably just restyle her hair later so stay tuned for that, but she is still super cute!

As soon as she arrived in the mail, we fell in love. My daughter named her Emily Roberts, and she has not stopped playing with her since. We put together this adorable little sunroom to showcase her incredible cuteness factor.

I just cannot handle how cute she is! Squeal!

Her clothing is also from American Girl. She came dressed in a little red coat, a pretty quarter length sleeve tee, and a pair of sequin jeans. She also came with purple undies and a hanger. Finding a TLC used doll that is fully dressed is pretty rare, so that increased her value immediately.

We have yet to wonder about who she is at heart. My daughter thinks that she might be a cowgirl, but only time will tell. All we know is we love her to bits, and we can’t wait to find out! 🙂
