Happy New Year!! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We are now recovering from the piles of family and friends that we have been hosting for the holidays, so I thought that it was time to get right down to the business of the surprise that has been hiding in my basement all this time.
We did it! We recreated Grace’s bakery and the result is even more beautiful than I anticipated. Even the adults can’t resist playing with it! 🙂 Let’s get right to the fun part, shall we? Photos!
Ta Da! I made all of the pieces except for the front counter of the bakery which was taken from the Newberry doll coffee shop.
I just thought that the little coffee maker was pretty darn cute. It makes it feel just a little bit like Starbucks, don’t you think?
Here are just a couple of the adorable printables that we got from AmericanGirlIdeas. She has a ton of printables, but these little shopping bags are perfect. We also printed the little bakery boxes that match, and some cake mix boxes to stock our shelves.
You can find the bakery menus here. We didn’t have any doors, so we just hung ours on the wall. I freehanded the eiffel tower on the wall with a black Sharpie pen. I am not a natural artist, so this was not easy!
This is the oven and sink combo. I made the little canisters on the bottom shelf. How cute are they! You can find the tutorial on DollItUp.com. I thought that they would be a great addition to the bakery.
Do you see the little cake mix boxes? So cute! They are very easy to print off and assemble too.
The adorable little recipe box can be found over on LivingADoll’sLife. It has recipe cards, and everything! She also has a cute printable for the cupcake boxes.
Doesn’t it make you want to fly off to Paris for the weekend? How romantic! Ah, c’est la vie. If only I could. 🙂
Stay tuned for a tiny bit of a building tutorial. I won’t go too in depth. I was sort of just winging it really, but if you want to make an even more authentic version, check out the amazing Grace’s bakery tutorial at AmericanGirlIdeas.com. For real. She is so inspiring! I mean, she really makes you want to break out the carpentry tools, and go build something!
Enjoy!
I’m so please to see someone used my cupcake boxes! Bakery looks great!
