DIY TOYS

I have to admit it. I love toys, and I am an even bigger fan of making toys. I have gotten to the point where I would rather make a toy than buy it because for starters it is way cheaper and secondly, my daughter actually likes handmade toys better. She told me that. šŸ™‚

I also love being able to reuse things. Even though I have learned over the years that not everything is reusable (stop being a hoarder!) there are some things that make excellent craft supplies. Here is a short list:

Egg cartons

Jars

Newspaper (for papier mache)

Cardboard

Plastic containers

You get the picture. Most of this stuff goes into the recycling, but it is good to keep some of it on hand for crafting. Just don’t hoard stuff. I have to tell myself that frequently. At one point I had thirty empty jars in my cupboard, labels removed. I don’t know what I was thinking, but it took me over a year to finally just recycle them instead. There are only so many uses for these things!!

Anyway, I hope you find the next posts useful for toy making. I also hope that you give it a go and try making some of these sweet DIY toys.

Enjoy!
